Bull....believe me when I say "I have plenty more work to do!" I'm not complaining though. I think the reason it has gone together so well is I'm doing the work to fish out of it. I think if I were doing it for profit, or step ups...It wouldn't have went nearly as well.

I'd like to think I'll pass this boat on to Lil' Slick. He's already claiming "part ownership" as he calls it. His rational is, I helped...I worked...I got dirty...when your done with it it's mine.

OK by me.

Welcome to the board Senior!

Thanks for all the nice comments from all!

ORIGINAL: Mr.Slickfish

All paper work has been completed....just waitin on the stickers. I'm starting to get a little concerned though. It's been a few weeks.....and nothin' in the mail. Maybe if I knew a mailman...I could check into it.  I have my temp stickers which are good through 4/10.

I ain't scared the paperwork is bogus...but....The duud I bought the boat from was like 100 years old.....the "after hours notary" was like 1,000 years old. Nice duuds...but...well...no other way to put it...old, and doin my paperwork in pencil. I'm gonna have faith that its PA's stall and not the old duuds.

For the record.....I don't need no stinkin' papers.

B....you can believe I will be the first guy on the bay....I'll run Leon over to make sure. I'll fish in a circle if nessacary.

Dont worry your stickers will come. Mine took 4-5 weeks to show up after I sent it out.
I cant check on it fer ya. Im delivery only not customer service. Sorry duud.

Leon........ Dont hurt "Da Ladies Man" duud  ,  just scare him a little.

Work now has been slow going, tedious, expensive, and bloody...the novelty has worn off, and I'm ready to be done.  I'm over budget, the old lady is salty, and have had to put the drill in reverse to back the screws out of my hands....yes "hands"....I'm still not frustrated enough to cut important corners...just wearin down.

The lids to my storage containers caused much grief and stoopid dreams/daydreams. It's been the mostly frustrating, and expensive part of my build. I'm in a hundred bucks in bracing, 50 bucks in handles, 20 bucks in rubber, 40 hours of daydreaming, 10 hours of work, and multiple holes in my hands...by now...me the kids, the old lady, and the dog r peesed.....I got it done...the pics dont do it justice....turned out fat

Next was the mount for the fish finder...this old Russian duud works for me...he's a bit of a "russian hillbilly". but this duud can build anything out of metal. He built me a swivel base that clicks 360....now the FF can be used from the front or back deck....

I also got the skid tape installed...not very pleasing to the eye, but effective

Tonight I got this done....

I got all that done, went to change the rope on my winch, realised my clicker is hosed too....The light at the end of the tunnel is near....I hope. Thanks for sharin'...

Soldered connections are much better than any splices.

Definately agree with Marty, solder and shrink tube is the way to go. I also ran a ground wire to each light rather than depending on the frame for ground. If you have light trouble with your trailer 99% of the time it's ground. I'm going on 3 years with no light issues (knock on wood).

The boat is looking great, you'll be glad you "did it right". Relax, you have a few weeks before you can even think about getting it wet, heck I haven't even started my winter projects on the boats yet  the wife put her foot down and put her projects at the top of the list. Have to say I'd rather spend the winter doing just about anything other than hanging and finishing drywall....

I used shrink wrap crimped butt connectors, and taped em...and melted the tape. I did run the grounds from the lights to the trailer AND the all the way up with the trailer whip.

I used shrink wrap crimped butt connectors,

Mark your calender to fix this in 3-4 years if shrink wrap leaks.

After diagnosing then replacing one butt connector a year i decided to solder and shrink wrap. Never a problem since.

This will be my last pic post on the thread. Major construction has wrapped up...and I'm down to the "tinkering". I have a local expert coming over this week to re start the engine and go over it with me. I don't think there will be anymore "pic worthy" action until the maiden voyage. I'm callin it a wrap.......

SOMEBODY GET THE NET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I highly recommend this product...not as a boat builder...but as a maintenance man...it hardens tougher than steel...Can be drilled, tapped, sticks to most anything....including aluminum....I Love this stuff. Even though all my structural seams looked good.....I packed them with this stuff. I have high confidence in these two products. Can't find it at lowes....local plumbing supply will carry it.....

This is more of a rubber seal....used from sheet pipes to neoprene.....

I have no vested interest un either of these products....It's just good arse plumbing products that stand up to most anything. If it sticks to soil pipes...it sticks to most anything.....anyway.....on to my final pics...

Admittedly.....I've patted my own back..... just a little.....

I'M ON A BOAT!

\\\

Thanks for induling me in my final pics, and all the kind commments/participation.

Special thanks to Bull, Bings, Mika, Deetz,

This can go for anyone, My capacity plate was faded, so i filled out the form to get a mew one from PFBC. I photo copied mine (just barely could read it) I wanted a replacment. But i filled out the form completely and sent them like 10$ (cheap i forget the real amount) I had 4 person limit, 30hp 600lbs gear. What i got back was 6 person limit, 850lbs gear, 75hp all for my 14 foot boat. So i am not saying people should replace theres hoping for higher numbers but if you need to get a new one the PFBC are fast at getting new ones out to ya and you might get suprised

There is an amishman in Bear Lake, PA that does decent cover work..
Had him sew a new zipper in my ice hut charged me $20.

The cover for my boat sucks..it's ripped & faded..I'll be keeping it in a garage though.

The canopy is in pretty good condition...just "mildewy" and gross. Gonna be cleanin that up soon.
