This will be my selection for bass flies this year and hopefully next, only because I have tied multiples of each. With the weather like it gives me time to tie flies.

Im sorry pxatim I can't get in the swap, even though I would like too. The black lines are just sharpie most of the other colors though are just blended in with different color materials. (The black dots are shown on my tying desk).

just a perminant magic marker. i used to paint them but found the bass don't care one way or the other.
i made some yellow poppers and the yellow fades/washes off. maybe i'll think about putting a coating of some kind over them.
largemouth likes these guys too.

Got a dozen parachute hendricksons for another swap finally tied up and mailed out yesterday, now I can get working on this one...

Gonna tie up a white/pink glow/orange/black clouser for one, and for the other, I'll have to see if I can get a production version of that craw worked out...I'll have to stop and grab a few more of those stainless hooks though...good thing they're on sale.

I finished my clousers up.  I bought the materials for my other fly, tied up 3 of them so far.  The first one was kind of a trial since i didnt have a step by step, just a finished pattern.  My plan was to replicate them exactly, but after some thought (and borrowing a tying book by bob clouser from a friend) I reconfigured the design a little bit and got it just how I wanted....even put a rattle in it.  Just bored on lunch break and figured I would see how everyone else is coming along.

I snag steelhead on the reg.

the real pattern calls for egyptian straw, i substituted the electrical tape because it give the glossy head and it is very flexable to work with

they work as good as they look :)
