think about this: fish have a lateral line, they can feel a minnow swimming. pretty sure they can feel/hear everything happening on the ice, and can potentionaly be turned off by anything. drill all yer holes first as a basic rule of thumb, use disgression, catch more fish. although fish definitely feel safer in the deepest water...

Hey i'm all for power augers on the bay but when you start to fish misery bay and hp all you really need is a 6" hand auger.

The worst day fishing is better than any day of work

my strikemaster lazer mag weighs 22 lbs. Sips gas. And oh yea the crappies didn't seem to mind at all last monday at pymatuning!!
