Madison River Fishing Co. has their Cloudveil Hellroaring waders on sale for about $170.00.
There a nice, high quality wader w/good sizing options. I've got a pair of Cloudveil Wading Pants and I'm very pleased with them. I rate Cloudveil second only to Simms. If your on a tighter budget, try Cabelas sales. This time of year is great for bargain hunting. Good luck in whatever you find.

    I agree with the Simms,

I love having a prestigous name on my chest, as my booty fills with water

I've got nothing against Simms, and the leaky booty might be a result of my use, as much as the quality.. I just don't believe that spending top $ for a high end name, always gets high end results. I'll spend extra for quality, but not for a name.

I was "looking" at LL Coolbeans, but the 1st five reviews ( on their website ), were pretty negative. Appears their new seam "technology", has some issues.

    I'll argue this everytime...

have over 200 days on my 70 dollar beans, believe logan wears the same ones, as does another friend of mine. Bring your waders home everynight, hang them to dry, they will last.

    Awesome info guys. Thanks.
I picked up an LL Bean wading jacket for 60 bucks last night. They marked it down a lot so I saved some money there.
Heading out to Cabelas or Bass Pro Shops this weekend to look around.

I have had hodgemans, allens, guide series, all seamed to work and wear well. I agree with above post , whatever you get the better you take care of them the longer you stay dry.

Save your money and buy extra fishing gear! I bought stockingfoot Hodgeman for about $50.00 and am on my third season. They get reasonably hard use. Also have Cabela's 5mm which are too hot and the suspenders keep slipping. Was a little apprehensive about the velcro suspenders on the Hodgeman, but they've worked out well.

Last year, guy with big Dodge truck & snowplow commented to me why didn't I spend $400.00 and get a good pair of Simms?? He wasn't snotty, but I figured he was proud to have paid $400.00 for waders. My thought was snowplowing in Erie must be expensive, plus according to my math, I could buy 7-8 more pairs of Hodgemans which would last many more years! I'd rather save the $$$ and use it for more gear, etc.

I have always been a simms fan until I moved back east and cant afford them anymore.
Tryed out a pair of William and Josephs <cheaper model> for 200 bucks. They offer unconditional 1 year warranty and after that <time wise> their policy is "well talk about it"   I stopped buying simms when I got the first g3's
That was the best wader I have ever owned.
Have had the W+J's 2 years no problems.

Their return policy has changed as of Sept. of this year.  You will probably get a replacement, next time, if you demand one, in person at one of their stores.  But that will be the last time.

I was told 1 year replacement and after that pro-rated. Does anyone know if that is currently correct?

I have used the hodgemans hip waders with felt for 10 seasons now. I bought my 2nd pair a couple years ago. I wear out the spot where my knees rub together so now I glue some extra nylon there. The felts wore out on my first pair after 7 seasons. I use these for 90% of my fishing in PA streams. They are light and make hiking long or fast pace an easy time. I do have a pair of Patagonia breathables that I were during temps below freezing. They give me extra protection if I fall in. It has happened to me twice and glad I had the chest waders with chest belt on. I will continue to beat the heck out of my hodgemans, and carry a warmer pair for winter or deeper water crossing.
