HOYT BOWS

Chicken I found a site with the alphaburner taget bow Here is the site   http://www.abbeyarchery.com.au/c/hytp/HOYT+TARGET+BOWS.html  I didn't look to hard just typed in hoyt alphaburner  Looks nice  WOW JUST found another site and it is going to cost around  1800 Bucks

For those prices, save a few bucks and buy a Mathews if there's a dealer in your area.

That website (and prices) are from Australia.  The retail is somewhere between 850-900 for the bare bow.
 
To you guys recommending Matthews so strongly; have you shot any of the new Hoyts? 
 
 

The best thing to do if your going to drop a chunk of change on a bow is go shoot as many as you can and see what you like the best. Me personally, do not care for Matthews. There an awesome bow by all mean, but other bows I have shot just feel better. The LX and the Switchback xt (both older bows) are my two favorite from the Matthews line. Dont care for any of the newer ones. I've owned several Hoyts and have shot everything they have, their all sweet bows. Go shoot an Alphamax 32, you will love it. Another good bow that is kind of a sleeper is the G5 Quest XPB32, fast, smooth, light, quite...awesome bow.

There's a lot of mathews guys who preach mathews is the best, but probably don't realize Bowtech, PSE, Hoyt, Rytera, Elite, etc... all make a bow every bit as good.
 
I bought a new PSE going into this year, and shopped around for weeks before buying one. The bow simply felt better to me than the others. As far as hand shock and noise all the best bow companies mathews included, were comparable. The B.E.S.T grip on the pse just felt better to me, just as the hoyt may feel better to someone else. It all comes down to personal preference now, since there is no single bow company making the best bows.

I don't disagree.  I think a lot of the Mathews diehards, myself included, bought in while the single cams and sound suppression stuff was a big deal.  We were impressed by the forgiving, smooth, and quiet operation and willing to pay a few extra bucks for it.  Now those other great manufacturers you mention have caught up with their own versions or flat out copied.  Either way the gap isn't there any more.  So my advice is to go with what you can afford, like the feel / look of, and/or have a reputable dealer nearby.

They put the alphaburner on the shelf today 850 striped.I held it in my hand is seems kinda big almost like a matthews top heavy.I also held the maxxis 31 tonight.I loved the way this bow fit my hand short,light and steady to hold.I had the wife with me tonight maybe santa will bring me one.
