Ground Blinds

Any bowmen use them,I bought a Primos Matrix and hunted Ohio in it today, was nice out of the drizzle but saw no deer, another thing if you use one in the Pa. gun season,do you have to put a orange banner up,I really don't think I'll use it in gun season, but just wanted to know.

The Matrix is an awesome blind and when accompanied with Primos' bow chair, they both make for a very comfortable sit.

Not sure about the letter of the law but we use a couple of blinds during the PA gun season and we puts lots of orange surveyors tape all over and around them.

might be wise to put an orange band somewhere on it if you arent hunting on private property where everyone knows where you are and what you're in. you could always wrap it around a tree that's close to you just so it draws attention to the area if you dont feel like putting it directly on the blind

I do the same as Ironhead, lots of orange tape, only have used one for gun hunting.

IMHO the blinds are GREAT for taking a kid out in less than favorable weather. They can stay warm, mostly dry, and get away with a little movement. We sometimes use a Little Buddy heater in ours and it gets toasty, to the point that we can take our coats off.

My old man used a ground blind last rifle season. He just tied an orange ribbon around the tree. There great if the weather is going to be nasty. He takes a buddy heater with him just in case he gets cold.I think you lose to much vision on the ground.I mostly hunt thickets.

I'd love to hunt out of a blind but I get a little  claustrophobic.  Having a buddy heater would be nice and not to mention having a good rain Strom pass by and not get soaked would be nice also. But I can take just about weather with the right clothes and then some.
