Volant 10-7-09

It was a cool and windy day but I was all alone to enjoy the fall colors.
Many fish rushed my offerings and the strikes were very light.
Swung buggers and beadheads with mild sussess.
Put an orange egg and caddis combo on and managed to break one nice fish off and lost two on the take. I only landed one, 2 counting the chub.lol
All in all it was very nice to get out and enjoy an otherwise wet chilly day.

It was really great to get out after a long fishless time.
Had to pick my tux up in New Castle so took a detour home.lol
Jerry , give me a buzz when you,re over this way.
The fish were interested but you had to watch the fly to see the take.
Ya Rich, after the way this year has gone it really was a blessing.

I also fished in Volant yesterday.  Landed four the largest being a male of 15 inches with nice weight to him.
I wanted to get a pic. but he was stressed and I had to return him quickly.  Also landed one that was two toned.
He was easy to see.  I fished the A.M. and early P.M. no wind, but it was chilly.  Water temp. between 46 and 50 degrees while I was there.  That was probably my last visit until spring.  Heading north to fish
