Bad start, very good ending

Tonight I hunted a game lands that I scouted weeks ago. While getting dressed watched a mom and 2 young doe walk across the road 70 yards behind me! Good start right. I climb all the way up the mountain and get to my spot. Lo and behold I lost my sweatshirt. The winds were blowing all night and it dropped to 50 degrees. Needless to say i was very cold in my 2 t-shirts!! Stuck it out as long as I could. At 6:00 p.m. two average doe fed by me at 35 yards. Only trouble was there were very small bushes between us. So I passed up the shot. When my teeth started chattering I started down, jumped two large doe on a bench just below my line of sight. Saw a bunch of deer in the fields on my way home. TONS of acorns in the woods. I was not upset because this was the first time I hunted this game lands. Not bad seeing 7 deer the first time hunting a new spot. Guys there ARE deer on public land, you just have to put in some EFFORT!!  Good Luck!
