ACORNS

Man the acorns this year holly $hit there is alot of them this year.I still have no clue where to hunt saturday because of the acorns being everywhere.How do you guys go about this problem?I never saw acorns like this before.

    hopefully you looked at the September walk page I created.. acorns everywhere here too..

    I'd look for the white oak acorns FIRST and watch those areas the most...

    also watch for "poop" piles.. if deer are in an area eating acorns regularly (think daily) there should be lots of "poop" there .. the more "poop" the more deer feeding there is generally the rule too....

    that large old oak tree on  the walk page.. you can NOT walk around it with out stepping on deer "poop"
    (some black (old) some fresh as can be...)for about a 50 foot circle, and trails coming in from many directions...

    You thought there were a lot on the ground before. I just came in from scouting and this wind is dumping them on the ground like rain. The first week of season could be tough hunting as they will only have to move a few yards to fill their belly.

    I was thinking the same thing with all this wind...
     
    getting ready to take one of my walks on SGL#54 by the old game school in an hour, not alot of oak back there but we'll see what we see....

    walk got rained out !!!
     
    Did have 7 deer feeding at the feeder in the back yard though...
