Future Disaster

I just stumbled across this article revelealing some disturbing **** repairs to be made in the immediate future on the Savage River Res.  I sure hope they can come up with a plan better than wiping out the entire tailwater section of the river.  Although I have only fished this river a handful of times, it is a beautiful area and has an impressive population of wild browns and brookies.

    oops....realized that article was published in 2008, I thought it was 2009.
     
    In that case, does any have any updates on the current situation?  A buddy of mine fished it this spring and didn't mention anything about it.

    I think they did not do the repair work last year.  And it has been rescheduled for this fall.

    Esox;   Just got off the site, FishDeepCreek.com. and it was mentioned that the res. is going to be drained very soon. Check it out.
