"One Fly" opening

Gentlemen,
    Due to a TEAM being unable to attend I have an opening for a TEAM for the "One Fly".  Soooo if you have a TEAm and have contacted me about being on the standby list then I can slot you as an entry.  PM me with your team members names.  1st come 1st served.
 
BTW I did not save any of the stand-by pm because it took up too much space in my inbox.   Thanks.

     Yes I know, but the entire TEAM dropped out and Pete had a team.  Just show up on the day of the event I'm SURE somebody will need a partner.

       To make it short.  the "One Fly" is a rendezvous type gathering of fly fishermen where you fish with one fly, eat too much food, display your fly fishing skills and meet folks.  Read the post at the top of the list and that will tell you most of what you need to know.  If, after you read the big posting you have any questions please feel free to pm me.

    thinking of a trip up from beaver county this w/e, is it worth it or just a waste of time?

    Not to discourage anyone from participating in the tournament (obviously), but I went up with some friends last year who fished "one fly" and I fished for fun.  I had a blast.  The food is amazing, and the guys that you meet are a riot!  oh and the partying after dark :)   Even if you do not plan on fishing in the tournament I would suggest going to meet some good folks.  I started fly fishing this year...well trying..., so gonna try it out on the tribs next year after I get a little experience.  Hell, I would go whether it is a tournament with prizes or a get-together with friends and fellow bullsh1tters!

    Gentlemen,
       With all the posing going on I'm betting that there will be a lot of pie thrown at the picnic.  Instead of telling us how good you are tell us the unrealistic standards you're setting for yourself.  Then we won't have a chance to tear you down at the picnic.   And yes carcus you can use a spinning rod,and if the waters murky a spin rod and a big black or blue bugger may turn out to be the way to go.  But after all the idea is to have a good time, eat too much and try to demoralize you friends.

    I have been fly fishing for a couple of years now and I think I am worst then when I started.... So basically I think I will always suck at fly fiahing But Oh how I love it.

    lol ill be up there 3 days and my goal for those 3 days is just 1 fish so dont worry Im just happy to be outside and enjoy this event. Well have a good time.
