Me Too

Dimebrite had a great idea intoducing himself. I seriously never thought about it, until he did it. I just started posting stuff and felt like a buttinsky cuz I never met any of you guys. So...
I hail from NE Ohio and joined the furum last winter but just began posting, too many bs experiences on other forums. I'm a die hard steelheader, the kind that wont stop fishin til that hole freezes all the way closed. I'm gonna start my salmon invasion in a couple weeks. Hope I get to meet some of you while I'm there. I've already learned alot from ya.

PEACE!

I'm leaning toward next weekend but I dont know how those fish react to rain. I mean while it's raining. I haven't found steelhead to be very cooperative during the rain, and I think it's supposed to be rainy next week. You guys know, hows the salmon fishin in the rain? I don't mind it at all if the fish are takin

    Good idea,
I'm from Central PA with the Yellow Breeches as my home water.  Been a member of the forum since 2003, but been away at the "other" board for a year or two.  Glad to be back.  I like long walks on the beach and puppies........sorry, I couldn't resist.  Some say I have a terrible sense of humor, but I think I'm very funny.  I also build custom fishing rods.
Started fishing for steelhead in the late 90s with a trip to Erie and after that we decided to give the Salmon River a try.  Well, we've been going ever since.  Every year we learn more of the river and better techniques.  I fly fish mostly, but always keep the spinning rod handy.
Leaving at 5 AM tomorrow and will be in Pulaski until next Friday.  I can't wait!!!

right now, you should go when it rains.  it will make the fish run hard...  i find they are aggressive when they run hard...  and trust me, they will run very hard once that rain comes.  the estuary has an estimated 2000-3000 fish right now for a few weeks now.

ok seems though everybody is introducing themselves...

i live in pulaski, born and raised on the river all my life (except the 4 years i was in the navy). i usually fish where people don't think there are fish, and i also have no problems giving people tips that come in to fish. mostly because they are here for maybe a week total throughout the season compared to me and the fact that i live here.  plus i work at one of the local sports shops in town (not fats and def not yankee fly, dawn hates me)

If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

2000-3000 in the estuary!!!!! Man the boss is going to hate me next week. Welcome Oldcane from Ohio. My trigger finger has been itching to go out there for whitetails, bow/gun doesn't matter.

Stress is just one hookset away from being gone.

Steel and salmon react real well to low light rain condts---however the high sun doesn't affect the steel(but it does the SalMon)

Steel on a pin---so easy a caveman can do it.

Thats why I'll look to Monday-Tuesday to go after them, after the weekenders bomb them. Weather looks great on those days for fish movement.

Stress is just one hookset away from being gone.
