I don't even have to be near the lake to know that I am not going....
 
I use the NOAA websites and another one to determine what the lake is like... I have radar on my phone so I know what the weather is doing at all times.....

Yep, that's the only reason that I went with the iPhone, that weather radar is nice to have while on the water. I would consider a newer gps with the weather radar subscription when the phone contract runs out though. If you can see the radar and a storm is going to go way north or south you can keep fishing. Last year Indian Summer and I spent a day running in several times for storms that went wide of where we were at, better safe than sorry but with the radar it takes alot of the guess work out of it.
