I agree that the thread should be placed at the top. I don't mind answering qestions that are general in nature and lead to good fishing experiences But I have a problem with the posts that ask a question we are in the middle of discussing three posts down.

Is there a thread that would answer any questions about steelheading so I don't look like a fool asking them?

My best question; I have an old bamboo rod that was my great-grandfathers' It's got the name Thomas on the reel seat would this be good for Steelhead? SNAP!

Kjh  I don't know why it would bother you to see the same old questions over and over. If you see the question ignore it. Should someone get on here and have to look in all the archives, to see if it is ok the ask a question? It doesn't matter how stupid you think it is. It may be from a 10 year old kid. In 2yrs. and 9months you have posted 2,534 times. How much of that do you think is nonsense talk? I would say,Most. But you don't see anyone complaining. You have posted some great pictures and fish'n stories. Just CHILL! Steelhead season will be here! 


I'm pretty sure he wasn't in anyway angry about people posting dumb questions.  I learned alot on here and I have also asked my share of dumb questions.  That being said, Mike originally put that thread together for a reason, they were all links to threads with good discussion and good information.  Many threads don't give up great information. Personally I would rather go back a year or two for good information than start a new thread and get crappy info. 

Sure people can ask all they want but if its been asked 100 times less people will answer and you would get better answers if you used the search.  He isn't looking out for himself but the people that would potentially ask the questions.

KJH, about my "876 Gold." I have not written anything that would help anyone on here! I will admit that. Most of the guy's on here know more than me about this fish'n thing. You have written some good info and showed some great fish'n stories (pics). I was just trying to make the point about alot of the nonsense talk that goes on here. Which alot of it is very entertaining. Yours included. So I don't think that someone asking a question that was asked 100 times before would be that big of a deal, in between all the nonsense.  I will not try to make a fool out of someone who does. If I don't like it, I move on. I think that Mikeg's post being on top is a GOOD thing! but, new guy's should still ask a question if they want. I think alot of times it's just their way of moving onto the board. OK, PEACE! (I guess I should of read it and moved on)

My Wife said, if I go fish'n one more time, she'll leave me! God, I'm going to miss her!
