B.C salmon

Looking at a fall 2010 trip to British Columbia. Does anyone have any first hand info on the condition of the salmon {Kings and Silvers} fishery. I have seen reports it is on a downward spiral much like the salmon populations in our Pac NW. But lodges and guides say it is as good as ever! I am looking inparticularly at Vancouver Island and Skeena system areas. Will certainly chase some steelhead while we are there. I have read summer run is in with the Kings in June/July and fall fish follow the silvers in late Sept. Any and all info is appreciated.Less than two months to Great Lakes Steelhead.

Thanks for your help.

You need to get in contact with Kenny Myers at Fishmyster guide service, great guy that will show you a good time as well.  He knows every inch of inland water around BC and can get you set up on a halibut and mooching boat as well.  Had a great time up there.
