Tippe makes a great point. I've seen numerous "young punks  " come, and go. They come in here entusiastic, brash, and eager to fit in with the "grown-ups". They ask questions, and post tips/info that are a 1,000 times redundant ( Like ALL newbies ), because they didn't read through 100,000's of posts to know it's already been posted/answered. It's fine ( sometimes warranted ) to slap them back into place, or take them down a peg, or two. Some have "grown" into great members of this community as a result. However you/we need to BE the "grown-ups", and not go out of our way, or go overboard in te process. Some fine young posters, and newbies have simply left, because "the heat" was applied too early, and to eagerly.

Some fine young posters, and newbies have simply left, because "the heat" was applied too early, and to eagerly. I wont dispute that, but wouldnt you say that this situation hasnt seen kmp keep coming back for more, never learning, and in fact getting worse, rather than making any attempt at fitting in? Wouldnt you say that, in this situation, he's asking for everything that's been directed his way?

Yeah, he brings some, of it ( maybe alot ) on himself. I never said "leave him alone" ( every child need a belt across their arse occasionally ). I'm just saying keep an eye inward. I've seen some equally childish responses to his posts, from the so called adults here.

Sorry, but if some kid gets your gutchies all in a bunch (in generalized terms - not directed to anyone specifically), then I am not sure if it is the kid that has the problem. Did I ever go off how he had to be put down a peg? Or did I suggest he needed some guidance? Which he did receive and now is an upstanding citizen of our great nation. It was your buddy GW/Bowfin who had a tough time accepting him (Junior is what I called him - Steelhead4Ever) and went off like an idiot on him all the time.
