Stage 5 means you are at the end, I hate how the doctors don't give her hope. They say operating won't do anything and if she gets operated on then she most likely won't live to wake up. The only reason I'm online us because shes resting right now

Looked on Google and saw a doctor saying that there is no stage 5 and that the patient's sister must have misunderstood.  Dunno.

i dunno what doctor you were seeing.  from everything i have ever saw or studied or read, there is a stage 5.......

must have been one of those fisherie/ScooterPA sponsored mentally challenged doctors?

Those stages you listed are the rating on how much the cancer cells have metastisized, ie involving multiple lymph nodes and additional sites other than the primary region of the original tumor.  The stages of cancer that include stage 5 are the likely hood that someone will be able to live through the disease.  Stage 4 is bad, stage 5 is highly unlikely...Thoughts and prayers to you KMP.

I lost my 39 year old sister in law to breast cancer last year, 4 kids the youngest being 5.  Came on sudden and ended sudden.  Thoughts are with you for sure...Life takes some serious twists.

Not sure why you have to be a****  Was just asking a question.  And you must not have read much due to the fact that searches I did listed the 4 stage system I copied with no mention of stage 5.    Not saying its not mentioned somewhere on the interwebs but to say that everything you ever read states the 5 stages is a stretch.

That's the link to which I was referring.  However, that post was in regards to breast cancer.

Thanks for the response Rpgyard.  Sorry to hear the news KMP.  Kinda puts all of life in perspective.

No offence scooterPA but you did state it as if my mom doesn't have cancer and I'll tell you she does. By the way shes stable enough to get out a bit more gonna go to titusville tomorrow. Shes sleeping now, and theres great news! The doctor says she is stable enough to receive an operation the operation has a 60-70% sucess rate and if she comes out ok they can begin chemo. They say its her best shot, the priest even promised to give her a service personally at home before going to the hospital the main the thing she wants is to be home as much as possible and not end her life in a hospital bed. Please, please pray for my mom through these rough times

KMP, find online or a book store the book written by Robin Roberts from Good Morning America called "Eight Rules to Live By."  My co-worker was diagnosed and did the kemo and surgery and I bought her that book prior to surgery and she read it and found a lot of hope and strength.  I myself am reading it right now and I am moved by it.

Haha will do, and I do have hope thatr she'll live. Usually you lose hope if you have stage 5 but the doctors have came through for us and think after everything shes got a 50/50 shot. I'm thankful that she has even that, keep praying trust me every prayer helps
