paradise lakes

Paradise stocked carp today, anywhere from 12-30lbs.  Anyone going down for the tournaments this weekend?

Fishing for carp in a pay lake is so much more exciting the fishing for free.   I rather catch one carp larger then everyone elses for the week then catching 30 carp at so random lake if u kno what i mean.

I don't hate paylakes,,,just why pay for a fish that is somewhat overpopulated and easy to catch most places they are?

Tracker the fishing for carp at shawnee is pretty steady.Bigger fish are always harder to catch but the smaller ones will keep you busy all day long.

Why don't you start your own thread listing your problems with paylakes, I'm sure you'd get a lot support here.  Instead of asking the same question in every paylake thread that gets started--------that some have tried to answer for ya, but must not be computing I guess.
And where's all this free fishing?  Got a private pond in your back yard?  Or are ya fishing illegally without a PA license(outside of the 2 fish-for-free days)?  I don't know of any free fishing outside of that.  And ya certainly can't make money at this "free fishing" like ya can competing at a paylake, if you're good enough.

Here's the concise version of what the paylakes are about:
Carp(or Catfish), Competition, Cash, and Convenience-----that's the way it is.
If ya want the full version, go here and read this:
    http://www.carpanglersgroup.com/paylakingpa06.html

If that doesn't answer your why question after reading that article, you must be a pea-brain?

Could you give me a run down of cost to fish and additional fees for entering contests at Paradise.

$12 for the license and $2 for a carp or catfish tag.       5 for the nightly tournies when they have them. Eman

Been wanting to go down there, just heard about it a couple weeks ago. Anyone ever try Seghis? Sounds like about the same type of deal. Pay a few bucks to enter the carp contest or catch a tagged fish and get a few bucks. Good time to take some buddies watch a bobber and shoot the breeze.
