Massena, Ogdensburg,Cranberry Lk Where 2 go

OK here is my dilemma. Going for 5 days later this week.  Thur - Mon  I was all set to go to my camp in North Hudson and use as a base camp and do Paradox, Lincon Pond, Schroon and Champlain but now i am torn. My buddy who is going wants to target Perch, Pike and Walleye. Pike is no problem at the above locations but walleye and or perch were very hard to catch in Champlain this weekend for all sportsman. This leads me to possibly migrating to the Massena, Canton, Ogdensburg, Cranberry Lake area.

The Only drawback is that we will tent it if we go away from my camp  or enjoy the comforts of a dry cabin, gas stove @ lights and all the endless fires in my fireplace not to mention fryer for fish dinner.

HELP

Thanks

St. Lawrence river has it all.  Camp out between Ogdensburg and Massena.  Lots of areas to pitch tents.

I always feel more alive when I am throwing my pole into a wet spot.

Thanks Ragin.  With the weather outlook of rain rain and more rain we decided to go to my camp for the dryness factor. I can heat the cabin to dry our stuff out froma soggy day of fishing not to mention I have to install a new hot water heater in the BR at camp.

Canton huh.. I run trains thru there from Syracuse to Massena.

Thanks for the invite that is very friendly of you. My son has lacrosse all day Saturday. Hey, don't blame you for taking a dry route. I fished all day today in the rain. Still enjoyed but couldn't imagine tenting it and not getting a chance to dry before the next day. Only caught a 20" pike today but my sister whom loves to fish caught her first Walleye at 29 years old...so the day was good.

I'd recommend you check out Black Lake in St. Lawrence County.
