I hooked into a small musky last spring swallowed my jig and bit the line.We saw a nice one landed near the launch on the north side a couple years ago. It's been awhile but we saw a bunch of fingerlings they stocked. They must've put them in earlier that day, they were all around the dock area.Have they stocked any recently?

I'm gonna fish more and work less.

made it over Sunday morning. Did well on the crappies. The weeds are getting worse than I ever saw them.

fried bass tastes awesome.. few meals there i reckon

went out tonight for about 3 hours. After getting several reports of people catching 30-40 bluegill, crappie, perch in a couple hours, I decided to head on over. Got the cooler cleaned out and ready for a load of good eating and packed the car. Within seconds of my first cast I landed a mediocre bass and thought to myself "alright, the bite is on!". Tossed in my second cast, nothing. tried fatheads, pieces of crawlers, redworms, maggots, jigs with maggots, nothin. Then just before dark I caught an ok pumpkinseed, than a nice perch, and about 7 more bass. I cant get a meal for the life of me. Maybe nexy time.

I really like fishing Kahle but they need to do 1 of 2 things.
If they want to keep it electric only they need to get rid of the weeds.
Or they need to allow gas motors.
Last year I got stuck in the weeds right at the launch and it took me a long time to make it to open water.
I have not been back since

last year when the weeds got bad and the crappie fishing went bad we started fishing deeper water and picked some up. The most we ever got in one day was three alot of times one or two and sometimes none. I do not think that there are alot of them there. usually drifting jigs is how we got them.

if your spending the day there, youll have a chance to fish the whole lake. Its not very big. Good luck finding clear enough water to fish crappie. Usually just find the deeper spots closest to shore to find the crappies and blues. Have a good time.

I have never seen or caught carp at kahle. As far as the crappie I have only ever caught a few here and there. They are probally scattered now.

OK, thanks.  That probably means there are carp in there, just not many, and that's usually a good thing.

The grass can be a real pain at times. Get's me mad when i leave the launch and have to pull the trolling motor up every five seconds to clear it. Takes alot of the fun out of it.

I don't like to fish for the green carp, so I hate the grass. Although it is not grass (I wish it were). It is coontail.

Fished kahle yesterday managed a couple decent bass and a large crappie. The weeds were a big contender getting away from the dock. The wind was pretty stiff as well. At least I didn't get skunked though.
