fished it twice this year. Once was the other day off shore. Not even a bite, was there about 4 hours. A lot of boats were out. I dont know if they were doing any good or not.

went out tonight for about 3 hours. After getting several reports of people catching 30-40 bluegill, crappie, perch in a couple hours, I decided to head on over. Got the cooler cleaned out and ready for a load of good eating and packed the car. Within seconds of my first cast I landed a mediocre bass and thought to myself "alright, the bite is on!". Tossed in my second cast, nothing. tried fatheads, pieces of crawlers, redworms, maggots, jigs with maggots, nothin. Then just before dark I caught an ok pumpkinseed, than a nice perch, and about 7 more bass. I cant get a meal for the life of me. Maybe nexy time.

Fished there yesterday for a couple hours, caught a few small perch,1 small crappie and a couple gills. The high light of the day was a 15" bass .Other than that it was slow.

I'm gonna fish more and work less.

I thought i was going to get into a few tonite. It poured on the way over and quit when i got to Knox.I got to the lake and it was still dark with thunder towards Emlenton.I  caught a few before the wind cranked up muddying the water.I stayed til almost dark catching around 20 gills with alot of missed fish.A couple of the gills were pretty nice.

I'm gonna fish more and work less.

were the ones you kept wormy? The last few times ive kept them 80% have been wom infested. All of the pumpkinseed are infested so I dont even bother with them, None of the perch Ive got have been wormy, but most of the blues have been. Havent got any crappie their yet.

usually drifting with 1/8 ounce jig and 3 inch twister. Last year all the ones we got were legal around 20 inches biggest one was one 26. Got a few on worm harnesses trolling not as many as we did on the jigs.

How thick are the weeds up there this year ? Last season the lake had significant growth by June that made it a tough troll in the wind ( clumps of weeds fowling my crawler harnesses).

Weeds are getting bad around the edges, the drawdown last winter did nothing, just like I knew it wouldn't.

I was one of the bass guys tonight... the weeds are just as bad as ever, maybe worse close to shore... my trailer looked like the creature from the black lagoon when I pulled the boat out... what a mess. Only fished about 2 hours this evening, just couldn't take the wind and weeds any longer. Did manage a 4lb bass and about 5 smaller ones...

Any of you Kahle fisherman tie into any of the muskies in their yet? Had a follow last week, but haven't actually targeted them. I don't think there's enough in the lake to fish just for them, but I carry along a rod just in case 'cause I often see one in and around the coontail.

    Enjoy,
    ~ John

A couple years ago the fish commision netted and released a 49lb 51in tiger musky outta there. I remember they had an article in the paper about it. That would be a fun one to bite into.
