yea it takes a lot of mystique out of the bar side tales and in some cases spoils those secret spots . But as they always say, a picture is worth a thousand words.

Bassin' Brian does indeed have some of the best Fish Porn around.

His "Greatest Hits" from 2008 was ridiculous...  How many 6+lb bass can one guy catch in one season?

Friggin' Lunkerville...

I agree though- photos are an absolute MUST in this day and age. For a good fish, that is the best part of the story.  Otherwise it is porn without photos...  Which (of course) is just a bunch of stupid words regarding things that never happened.  But when the photos come, so does all that sweet, sweet credibility.

The fish story has been legitimized, fellas!!!   Video is even better!!!

Hey last cast, about top water at night with the stripers, On Toledo Bend, they use a technique called "poppin jig"
mostly at night but even in daylight they take a large top water popper remove the back hook and tie a line about 3 ft long to it and tie that to a Bucktail jig. Works pretty good espescialy early when they are a little reluctant to hit the top they will follow and hit the jig. seen it work time and time again.

No worries Perch...  It is well deserved...  Stripers are just the kiss-of-death with me...

Right up there with Steelies...

It took me a few years to dial-in on Tarpon down in FL too, but once I got them figured out it was a free for all.  Just wish I had longer chances with those Hudson fish.

For the record though in my defense- I have caught HUNDREDS of schoolie stripers up to 10lbs during my childhood summers out in Rhode Island and especially during the "Fall Blitz" in Newport right up and through college.  Even got many on the fly in the marina...

But these **** Albany fish just screw me over   Two years since I have moved back, and no cows yet!

For methough (as mainly a non-fish eater) I would prefer my fish to be BLUEFISH here in the Northeast.

Now THAT is a good time!!!!  They pull like freight trains...

the river looked sweet today but the creek was a dry (very low tide) bed.
had the gdaughter so I was out for MAYBE 1/2 hr.

Hook & Brian , GREAT , you guys tear them up but remember the Hinneys come next weekend (LOL)

mcasefish: What a sweet boat !!!!!!!. you got some nice porn there as well. Good Job, why not join the Eastern Photo Striper Braggin Tourney ?

.....
side note, I cracked a rib (really) last weekend and themthing is killing me bad so I may be handicapped on the stripers. Meaning , more pain killer then reeling them in... Not to say I won't kick some Eastern **** with the 1 and possibly only HOG!!! Just so you know !!!

What an awesome day out there today. Warm, hardly any other boats around. And the stripers were there. Only problem is that I'm so spoiled now, it's gonna be hard to top it. I think we boated 12 fish. And easily lost another 6-10. I forget. Anyway, Brian is gonna post some sweet pics at some point.

Oh yeah, almost forgot. As we were packing up, DEC paid us a visit. Needless to say, make sure you bring a life jacket for EVERY boater

When hell freezes over, I'll fish there too.

PERCHY-

With all due respect.... 17 yahoos from south troy with poles in the water at the same time?  Man that ain't fishing... it's like an AA meeting only outdoors!  I know theres a hole there but wtf thats craziness.  You get us some herring and I'll show ya a good shore spot with NOBODY there.  Tried behind Cluetts for herring this AM... 45 minutes, not a sniff, so I went home. No herring, no striper fishing.
