well the trout numbers in there have risen greatly! Trout wizard has got 3 in the past 2 weeks there when him or i havent ever landed on in previous years. fished it last nite still a lil off color but had 2 runs and my friend luke missed something on his spinner bait. as long as people start cleaning up their trash it will get better fishing as well as scenery.

Last fall i was over there with the boat and seen thousands of small trout at the launch area everywhere.  Dont know if the state just backed the truck down and dumped these fry, in there or what was something to see .  Hope most of them made it if the walleye and pike didnt get them.

well for the past 3 years the state has been stocking 60,000 fingerling trout in there. most dont make it cuz right after they did last year te waleye numbers went up. Its good for the other fish bad for the trout....but its slowly making a come back....next is the blue gills and perch they need to work on.

Id like to see them put more cover out there for the fish like cribs and bring the crappies in .  Theres some crappie in there the ones i got were very nice like in the 12 to 13 inch range.  My biggest trout came in late summer over there 19 inch rainbow in 40 feet of water.

I take it you were using a rigger at 40' but with a fly or stick bait or harness??  If you don't mind giving that up.

Thanks for the info "STEALYS4ME" that's hard to come by sometimes if you know what I mean.  Got some downriggers late last year and I'm lookin' foward to trying them out this summer when the water warms up and the fish go deep.
       Thanks Again

Three of us fished Quemahoning last night on the boat.  Few other boats out but lots of shore fisherman.  We fished from 4:00 - 8:00 PM and caught a total of 6 perch, none over 6".  We never seem to do well here.  Did mark some fish in about 80' of water suspended a little up off of the bottom, must be trout or walleye.

A friend of mine uses downriggers over there and gets some real nice trout theres some big ones over there heard of some 26-28 inch trout caught out of there... As for the walleye seems like they disappered several years ago used to be great for eyes.  If your looking for great pike action thats the place to be erie dearies and shiners work well.

That is the ****est sounding tournament I have ever heard of.  Blowing a whistle and waving a flag to signal a judge every time you land a fish ?  Most species wins?   Stupid!

i dont know bout that. Have you ever fished that dead sea? catching 1 fish is hard enough if you catch more then 3 different species then you deserve an award.  thats just a grand prize any ways kinda like a second bet. Winning is by the total length of a species. so many different categories. its just to get more people involved.
