Anybody ever fish Round Lake???

Was wonder if anybody fishes Round Lake? Read on Shanty that the Tigers are pretty big. If you do what part of the lake would be best if getting from the spot on Rt. 9???

Wisdom, just wondering are pike musky and tiger musky hybreds any good to eat? i watched how they fillet them on youtube.. alot of bone like pickerel.. I guess even though there is alot of waisted meat cutting away the boney parts, you can still get enough off those big fish.  Wonder if they taste like pickerel fried?

Never had Musky or Tiger Musky but have had Northern Pike which is pretty good. My buddy smoked some we caught last winter which is good too. I am a practitioner of catch and release for the most part and will only keep fish occasionally. I don't tend to keep Pike because of the bones. If I do take fish I prefer to take Trout, Salmon or of course Walleye.

I was at Hank's Bait on rte 9 this afternoon after checking the ice on Ballston Lake. (6+ solid inches btw) I'll be out there with Eagle Ed tomorrow.

He gave me a generic answer to the question "Where are the Pike on Round?" Basically, hit the weed edges. I don't know if Tigers prefer the same environment.

When hell freezes over, I'll fish there too.

This is what I gathered at IceShanty....someone came across tigers during the summer in what would be "the middle of the snowmobile track" on the east side of lake. Any idea where that is?
