Reservation shut down on the Catt

i have heard that the Seneca Nation has shut down their large section of the Catt to a shorter season

fishing will now only be allowed from the third sat in June till Nov 30th


anyone know anything more?

    Haven't heard...

    The months that I do most of fishing up there are still wide open. How often have you found good steelhead conditions Dec, Jan, Feb?

    I'm surprised they haven't raised their price again ! Gone up at least twice since I started fishin it. Paid $12 / yr at first.  IT"S NOT ALL THAT !!!!! Lots of other water around there very nice.

    USUALLY, IT BLOWS OUT AROUND THANKSGIVING AND NEVER COMES DOWN. THAT'S WHY WE GET STUCK IN PA.
    I HAVEN'T HEARD ABOUT NEW SEASON. BUT MY OPINION WOULD BE THE INDIANS COULDN'T CARE LESS ABOUT WHEN PEOPLE FISH.
    I WISH THEY WOULD RAISE THE  LISCENCE TO $100.00

    That wouldn't surprise me that gives them more time to use their nets!!!!!

    There will be days when fishing is better than ones optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

     I heard of this last week so I made a call to the administration bldg.

    yea ....I talked to WCO Deputy Double Dog he  told me they were shutting down elk from January 1- April1 for Polar Bear to fish ....WCO  said he was wicked , AND SOMEBODY ELSE SEEN HIM BY THE STREAM EATING ONE OF THOSE STEELHEAD RAW WITH RITZ CRACKERS ...........this is no rumor , so everybody have a Happy New year see yins after April.....or not ????......NOT

    About the Catt -  NOT true as far as I know, there is some thought as to how the rumor got started, but I am not in the know on that totally.

    raise the liscence to $100.00 and make people from pa. canada, ohio, vermont, north carolina, etc. buy a n.y. liscence
     new york provides all the fish.   i pay 67.50 to fish pa
     
    if you have a problem with that, talk to yourself. i 'm not interested
    the way things are going, you'll have to have a canadian liscence to fish
