1st Winter Get Together

Jan. 4th if we have good ice?  I'll go anywhere. Round, Burden, Lonely, Thompson's, or anywhere else. I'm also going out Friday the 2nd, if anyone has the day off.  LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED ALREADY!!!

I'll be on Lake Lonely next weekend (1/2,1/3,1/4) if there is any good ice.

actually the forcast looks horrible locally for making good ice . there are only a few real cold nights with some snow in the forcast. If you guys want to fish some good northern ice just give me a shout. it's only a short bit over 1 hr from saratoga.

Alright, pm me , just letting you know i'm kinda low on funds, for guide service fee..if it is an invitation, i'll gladly accept and help fund this party on ice with booze wine i'll even bring nice rolls and the best market basket sausage for whoever  just tell me how many of us.. oh and do i need my sleeping bag or we staying in a clean motel? i 'm not going for just a daytrip if i'm driving from jersey. pm me tuna let me know

Lake Lonely was fished over the weekend, so it must be safe.  DEC was there to check licenses and equipment along with State Police.  Hope everyone was legal!
Wind was really wicked today, so I stayed indoors and read a book on how to catch carp through the ice in the Adirondacks!

My suggestion as said is to meet at the Saratoga boat launch, from there we can figure out a car pool system.
SUNDAY will be the day. Someone said super early, well I think crossroads store opens at 7am which is about 1:10 min. from toga. Any earlier then 6am (toga) we will have to have bait in order or stop at LG 307.

I'm kicking this cold, man nothing beats "Barenjaer" honey liqueur for an annoying scratchy throat,  this stuff always works,  better than cough drops imo. I best get a bottle for the ice trip unopened of coarse and with separate cups! lol yeah man tuna I'm up for Sunday..  I'll pm you for  detailed instructions...  I have a new york atlas ,  I do not have a  gps mapping device or cell phone at this time.

Hook! 1.39 a gallon here! lol  seriously, i'm coming up, i may be leaving early saturday to get my hand auger and sled in the sullivan ,,  i printed out a google mapquest tonight from neversink ny to saratoga and it is about 40 -50 miles out of the way, i want to hit gander in monticello, i can get bait there if you want me to,, Anyone go a stove/grill for the ice? i want to bring sausage and peppers and cooler of refreshments! I'm planning a two dayer in the ADK park! 

Lucky you Backin79, we are still paying 1.79 a gallon in the overtaxed state of NY. I would also like to join the trip on sunday, if possible. I will be fishing Thompson's lake Friday and Saturday, but am looking forward to getting up north on sunday. I will absolutely grab bait late saturday or early sunday. Are four wheelers or snowmobiles allowed where we are going?. Thanks for any info.
