Read that again and do the math - reg. license $19 + trout and salmon $10 + fishing the Hudson River (tidal to the Troy dam) $19 for a total of $38 ...

Force, I think it stinks but what use is it complaining , it's just another tax just like cigarettes etc. I'm still a jersey resident paying 40 bucks and now the 10+ for the trout stamp..compared to upstate newyork, jersey is a concrete slab..I stopped hunting and fishing jersey since 1984. I enjoy it enough to tolerate an increase of ten bucks for a trout stamp. Only hope it isn't for some state general funding program for creating more security and ratfinks to bother us in our great american outdoors. I'm more concerned about what it is they want the increase for. If it is for more personal to issue summons /fines and no trespass signs etc.. it is war! lol

so lets say me as a nonresidented wanted to fish the hudson knowing unlike the delaware riv.. they will rule the hudson a tidal water estuary because it is all ny water sytem? that means for a nonresident 40x2=80 + 10 for a trout stamp , that's only 90.00 for an anual nonresident fishing license! lmao... I don't think so! lol , i'll protest as I did jersey. I'm not bailing out no blind bats and their pension plans! lol  they're lucky i'll buy the trout stamp. so it's 50 instead of 40 bucks! i remember paying anual nonresident fishing for 17.50  than 19 or 20.50 and so on until now 50.00 lol worlds going to end soon anyway, just enjoy what's left.

How does this affect someone with a lifetime license? I don't have one. Just wondering.

When hell freezes over, I'll fish there too.

I bought my granddaughter a lifetime sportsman license last year and no matter what the license fee increase is her's will always be free.
Now a trout stamp or any other new thing (fee's) they come up with is an add on and she will have to buy those stamps.

Maybe they should tax the hell out of those fishing club land owners who take all our trout state hatchery fish from the public.. There are too many areas the state is stocking that is private with no access.. I know this is unfair and would like the state to grant public access or stop stocking those pools up and downstream. These fishing clubs should not be entitled to our fish unless we are allowed to fish those stretches of water!  I know the lower east branch delaware and upper stretches of wellowemoc are heavily posted and the state stocks these waters with our trout stamp fishing license mulla.. it just ain't fair i says!
