Coho Identification

Recently I caught what I think might be a Coho Salmon on Elk Creek. How do you positively identify a Coho? I'm still having difficulty posting pics.

    Look for black in the mouth, that's one way. Then see if the mainho was coming up behind it.

    Coho does not have black gums in the mouth, tail has spots on the top half only. Chinook (King) has black gums in mouth and spots on upper and low tail lobes. Hope this helps...

    Cohos have no spots on thier 5 lower fins at all.

    SO MANY FISH SO LITTLE TIME.
    WHY ARE ALL THE PLACES I HAVE YET 2 FISH SO FAR AWAY?

    Coho also have kidney shapes spots on their back rather than round spots
