Sunset Motel, 13825 Ridge Rd. (U.S.Route 20) West Springfield PA 814-922-3550. It's about 6 miles from Crooked Creek, 9 1/2 from Elk Creek.

    Glad I could help

I think most are in the $50 range if you stay away from the big name chains. Try the El Patio for a cheaper place. Green Roof is around $55 a night I know.

Ask any of them if they offer a fisherman discount, they usually do.

Do NOT stay at the El Patio.  I had the same experience.  I stayed two nights for the "Fisherman's Special" of about $40 per night.  At the end of my stay I signed the reciept for a total charge of $80.  Two weeks later I saw a total charge for the El Patio of $160.  When I called to ask what the hell happened, they told me that the girl at the desk didn't have the authority to give me the special, which they said they no longer offered, so they were going to charge me what I should have been charged.  I called my bank, but they couldn't stop payment because I used a debit card.  So instead of going through a bunch of hoops over $80, I decided to tell everyone that will listen to not ever give another penny of their money to the crooks at the El Patio....

i used to stay at the local erie motels.
i'd recommend the comfort inn though, you get such better rest when you actually sleep comfortably.

I had stayed at the El Patio for years with no issues, but after that incident, and the shady clientele, they have lost me as a lodger.  Dru is right.  the Comfort Inn is very good.

Spend $40 bucks at Avonia and see if you end up sleeping on the floor.

On a serious note, are any of the campgrounds open for camping through the winter?
