I would like to get together a fly swap for the holidays xmas and new years so we can bring in 2009 in a good way with some new flies. If I can get enough interested in this swap. 10 people The rules.... #1. Tie 9 of your favorite fly no matter what its for. Trout/steelhead, bass, pike, bluegil, anything its the holidays people. #2. must tie 18 flies, so we can have 2 for each person and no sense in tying 2 for your self. #3.flies must be received no later then Jan 15th 2009. #4. see the lue (lou) minnow i made up at my friends house in clarion one night before a group of us headed to erie. it caught my biggest steelhead of my life so far and simple but complex. im sure you made a few things up that have worked. ill tell you what the last fly saw i got alot of smaller hot pink sucker spawns that i lost in 5 cast from poor knots with bigger fish on the end. if i was better at tying lazer flies id be doing that. Im no pro just do it for enjoyment. I also like seeing what people come up with.

hmmm, the only ones i've mastered are the san juan worm, glo bugs, and small streamers... probably wouldn't be a great help to the fly swap...

I'm in.........10 CRUSH streamers (emerald shiner ) and 10 DEATH stoneflies-- fly for catching salmon in Pulaski ---both flies are of my creation and work in PA and New York waters if there are only going to be 10, then we should each only tie 9.......unless the fly swap meister has plans to donate a few flies to the website owner or whatnot...............or 11 people 10 flies each..........don't need to tie a fly for myself.......... either way...........I have 10 crush and 10 death flies ready to roll ( or 11 or 12 )..................and everybody shouldn't forget to add a few bucks to cover the cost of shipping the flies from KYLER back to us........

yea only tying 18 flies would make sense since you really dont need to receive the flies back that you tied for yourself.

we are filling up fast i might add more spots if we go over in the next 2 days if no one objects but ill notify everyone when its full. Im working 1030pm-7am all week so if i dont update right away its because im prolly sleeping or getting caught up on House episodes or Bizarre Foods on my DVR.

ADDED 2 MORE SINCE WE FILLED SO FAST. That means 22 flies need to be tied. 12 is the limit i wont extend after we fill.

Any size will work. You could tie up 10" of chenille on a sz. 4 hook and swap a San Juan Serpent!  For what it's worth, your **** Creeks will be size 8, black woven over orangish brown w/ white tails & antennae. If you've got any special requests, I'll see what I can do with what I've got.
