Ice Report

I drove down from Tupper Lake to Gloversville on Saturday and Lake Simond, Long Lake south of the bridge and Lake Durant were frozen over.  The bays on Indian Lake were beginning to freeze.  Here in Gloversville, the small ponds in the parks around town are frozen solid.  Didn't inspect the thickness--prolly to thin Saturday, but will no doubt thicken with the temps the way they are.  It got down to 10 degrees or below every night last week in Tupper Lake and never rose above 20 degrees during the day.  Pretty brutal when you're hunting.

    Seen on NYBass couple guys on 3" ice in Mass

    a co-worker an friend out on a pond in greene county last sunday (the camera date is wrong) . they hit 3 ponds and there "was" 3" ice. they are true hardwater nuts.

    Those picks your friend pic is wearing is smart going early ice. the ice guard spikes is on my list.. I need a pair, nice crappies
