fishing out of Cleveland

Brother in law moved to Cleveland, has his boat at Whiskey Isle.  I fish the western basin from ice to jigs, to worms, like now, and troll the fall in Huron.  Can you drift for walleye over there?  What about perch fishing? I don't prefer trolling, but I do what I need to for fish.  I'm going there Sunday, so any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Dude, you're on Lake Erie.  The walleye capitol of the world!  When you mark fish on your sonar, you can catch them.  If you want to drift, use bottom bouncers and a harness with a 4' lead.  If its calm, troll real slow (1.5 to 2.0 mph.) with the same rig...you actually cover way more water that way too.  I don't think you'll be dissapointed.  I've been seeing reports of fish being caught in 40 to 50' of water in that area.  You can also try this Q on the OGF forum (Ohio Game Fishing) and you will get more responses and help.  Best of luck to you.
