Shooting at Elk?

Anyone know exactly what happened saturday? I heard someone got shot over a broken rod. I also heard it was a friend of the brothers, Jim and Frank. Looked for the story on some of the news sites, but didn't have any luck.

I dunno about a shooting, but I did see something out of the ordinary, how about the BUFFALO POLICE at Elk arrresting some dude from Hillbilly Bend. Girard's finest was also on hand to assist. You should have seen the look on the dudes face when they walked right over to him and asked him to place his hands behind his head. I couldn't believe the Buffalo cops drove all the way down to Girard.

Funny you mention that because I saw a Red Buffalo squad car at Elk Creek Sports store Saturday afternoon.  I didn't think much of it until just now when i read your post.  Wierd.

State Police were also staked out below ECS last weekend on the hill leading to Uncle John's Camp. I know they weren't looking for speeders is all I'm gonna say.

I too hope that is not true.  Years ago I saw a shooting at the warm water discharge in Waukegan during the spring steelhead run over a guy who took another guy's spot.  I would hate to see something like that repeated in Erie.

Listen Pal, I talked to Dan, and he stated that the State Cops were waiting for a certain person of interest, and wouldn't elaborate any futher. I don't know where you get your info from, but you better be the one gettin' your facts straight. You people will never learn... This kinda BS is what happens when you screw around with the law.

Wow, talk about battlegrounds. Got shot over a broken rod? There are some crazy people out there..

I once talked to this old guy, maybe 60, who said

"Man.. I ain't going up to that ******* place, get shot in the *** and have to bait fish.. I kid you not!" (in responce to me jabbing at him about all the big trout in the cricks)

Maybe the wisest quote I've heard in Erie trib fishing. lol.

LOL, you guys listen to Frank way, way, way too much.

Frank's claim was that a guy step on another guys rod. The guy pulled out a gun and shot him in the knee.

Frank lives in 4 dimensions. My guess is the shooting happened in the 4th of those dimensions.

Did someone step on a rod and break it? Probably.
Was it a friend of Frank's? Probably.
Did someone get arrested for something they did in Buffalo that was completely unrelated? Probably
Did someone get shot over a broken rod?  I'm flyin' the BS flag on that one.

    Fr222 strikes again.

Listen, you young bucks don't know half what you think you do. You think you can handle this old buck, and you very well may, but I didn't get wise over all these years lockin' horns and fightin' fair.

I honestly heard someone got shot at elk over a broken rod. The story ended with the shooting victim life flighted to Pittsburgh. I figured if that was a true story, it would have been all over the news and the web. If it's not true, that's a good thing. If it is true, then how very sad.

    Gotta love the grapevine......

I seriously doubt that someone was shot. Like mentioned, it would have been all over the news and web, but who knows these days?

IMHO if Buffalo PD, PSP, Girard PD was there it more sounds like Buffalo PD was looking to apprehend someone they had a warrant for or someone wanted by their dept for whatever reason. There would be no reason for Buffalo to be here other than that.

Flashy, just tell us then, Franky was being Franky and a little loud and probably peed someone off, but wasn't shot for that or a rod being broke? But happened to be in an area that the fuzz was looking for someone else at right? If I got your legistics? Asking cause I had a few people call me about this tonight. Knowing your brother can be loud, I thought maybe, but didn't think so over a rod; wouldn't think he'd do that.

Im glad i got chest waders its getting really deep, either that or some people fishing are getting really stupid, shooting people over bull****.  Id just get the persons fishing liscense number if someone stepped on or broke my fishing rod, and I probably would not even do that.  Life is to short to always be ****ed off.
