Grip and Growl

I tried not to smile for this pic just to, you know, give a little visual variety.

Though it looked bigger in the net, the fish went 10 lbs 8 oz I think.

I think it was last year that someone suggested that it is about one fish in every 50 that goes 10 lbs or better.  I haven't been anywhere near that fortunate--this is only my second fish over ten pounds.  That I've landed, at least!  ;-)

I have had two others this year that were 9 lbs 15 oz, though, and it does seem to me that the there are more big fish this year than there have been in the past several years, anyway.

talking about bigger fish... i caught a 12 pounder Friday with a 7 pounder.... i also caught a 10.5 and 8.5 yesterday.... the big fish are there, you just have to be lucky i guess.  one was on pink/orange w/ sparkle powerbait and the other hit a Joe's Fly last night just at dusk.  There's nothing better than fighting a 10+ lbs fish with a $11 fishing rod from Wal-Mart.   I have a pic of the 12 pounder but don't know how to post it.

Oh yes, the big ones are coming in. Saw two fish last weekend over 10+. (I was not hooked up with either!) One was 13, weighed on the stream.

So far this year i have had a really great year. I so far got a 12lber, 13 and a 14 lber .And several 10 pounders. And do know the exact weight of these fish because i weighed them on my Boga grip.  The  13 14 lber came from up by the legion. And the 12 came from the manchester. Despite the water conditions i have not had a day where it hasn't be a high double digit day. Fishing has been exceptional this year. To say the least.

Quit ****ing and take a kid fishing !!
