bait shop

Was wondering if anyone had an opinion on a good bait shop around pres. bay.  First year running dipsy's and need to pic up some good spoons, lures, harnesses.  Stopped at poor richards last year for some advice and was not very happy with the help i got.  Any suggetions would be helpful.
Thanks

Only other two bait shops I can think of are BAC and Smiths (my top choice). Gander Mountain near the Mall sells a good selection of lures but I usually don't ask for advice there so I can't tell you how good their advice is.

Poor Richard's over towards Walnut.  Great folks, good selection, willing with the "where to" and "how to".

Poor Richards has always treated me very well. They are out of the way for me as I launch at Lampe so I rarely stop there anymore. But anytime I do stop at Poor Richards, I make sure to always give them some business because they have always impressed me as being good people.

As for Smiths, I drive right by there on the way to the boat, but I rarely stop because they don't open until 7am. A bait shop that doesn't open until 7am. What's up with that ?

I ussually buy my crawlers at the Walmart at the exit for 6A because that is on my way to Erie.

I always launch at the east street/ Ave  dock. Near the coke plant. I like it because of the brake wall and I can kind of go anywhere from that location. Anyway, there is a bait shop there. I don't know what it's called or if the people are reliable. I only went in once and was not overly impressed. Looks like it was built from an old shipping container or trailer. However, the oldtimer in there seemed nice. Does anyone know the place? I think they open at 6am at the latest. I know they were open at 6:30 a few weeks ago when I showed up.
