first trip

hello everybody,
 first off im addicted already. ha ha. I had my first trip over the weekend and loved it. I only hooked up with 5 and landed 1 but what a rush. A few beginer mistakes but you have that. I want to thank all of the ones that I spoke with on the streams for the info. Everybody was great help and very nice again thanks alot.

Consider yourself lucky (or skilled) to have landed that one fish.  They are relatively easy to get to take, but they are really hard to bring to hand.  It seems like all of the fish are behind that one log where they get tangled up once hooked or near the shale ledge where they will break you off once hooked.  I don't know what size tippet you were using, but you can go as heavy as 2x, rated at like 10 lbs., and land many more fish without decreasing your hookup percentage much.  Congratulations.  Being that you caught fish and it was your first time, I'm assuming you were with an experienced angler...right?  If not, get out with one, it's the best way to learn.

hey mike thanks alot. yea i was with an experienced angler and also i was using the grand max flouracarbon 4x seems to be ok. mostly my errors
