Fishes stomach

Whats the strangiest thing you ever found in a fishes stomach ? You know like on Jaws, when Hooper pulled out that license plate?

Mine was a rock about the size of a golf ball, from a 5 lb smallie in Canada, must have sucked it in with a crayfish.

Never really found anything strange, per se.  I do remember keeping a few trout a few years back from a lake that gets alot of pressure.  One had a gut full of chartreuse powerbait, and the other was almost all orange powerbait.  Just thought it was kind of odd that they'd prefer one color that much, but that there wasnt one color that both liked.  Helps make a case for individual trout having individual tastes, I guess.

I've caught pike in Canada that had baby mice and muskrats in their stomachs.  I've also caught small pike that had 6" perch in their guts.

I don't keep fish so I never see what's in their stomachs, don't have the nerve to pump their stomachs after making them endure a fight for their lives either. BUT I had a client land a monster brookie in a pond once while fishing a huge bunny bugger and when I went to get the fly out of its mouth there was a sizable frog jammed under its tongue. It was pretty funny.

Cold, there's a decent chance that both of the trout you wrote about regularly held themselves in waters of different depths. Water depth and clarity has a big impact on what colors a fish can see and how well they can see them. But hey they're fish so maybe not too.

me and chris thought a big brown had a trout stuck in its moutn(10") i started trying to net it to get it out of its mouth, it spit it out and swam away. I dont think ANY streamer is too big anymore.

I was reeling in a trout caught on a jig at one of the local lakes.  Every so often you heard of someone hooking into a lunker bass by pier which I was fishing off of.  I started to get the trout to the pier when all of a sudden my rod doubled over.  I waited a few seconds and tried to reel it in only to find I had a HUGE bass on my line.  It spit out the 12" rainbow, but I was surprised it swallowed that hole and I could reel it in.

Other than that, the powerbait and minnows are about all I find.

    Gentlemen,
I once reeled in a 24" brown that had a 10" trout in it's stomach.  I have seen many large fish with very large fish in their stomachs.  This has led me to recommend very large flies for very large trout.  I've been saying it for years.  Give a trout, or any other predatory fish, a large easy meal and they will hit it.  Think about how many times you've seen a 7" trout hit a 2" spinner.   Since this is fall I actually recommend that people try large flies, or even fur mice when fishing for trout.   An elk hair bass mouse should be just about right.

I never really found anything unordinary because I never keep fish. But once I caught a largemouth bass that already had a bluegill tail sticking out of its mouth. I was using a jig, moving kinda quickly, and he still had the nerve to move after being stuffed already. The bass was released.

I was fishing the Ohio River with fatheads when I caught a catfish with a 12 inch sucker in it's mouth. The sucker swallowed my fathead and was hooked when the catfish ate both of them. It was pretty awesome!

I've seen trout hit twigs and leaves and even my floats as they drift downstream. I've come to the conclusion that if they are hungry they will eat anything they think is food.

when i was younger i caught an 8# walleye at Lake Arthur.  on the way home it puked up 3 decent sized bluegills.  when we fillet'd it, there were two more smaller perch still in it's stomach.  caught it on a crawler harness.
