I know goby, my wife is a pro photographer, she takes great photos of kids, weddings, etc.  but ask for one picture with a deer and she sucks....Now my buddies deer, I took that pic.....lol

Better too far back, than too far forward.

I'd like to see that AS$ hunt public where we all hunt.

You know what, I probably wouldn't. Nevermind.

Yeah goby, his bow's alright, but he's selling it to his brother. I'd like to purchase my own, being as this is my first year hunting, I don't want to spend a redonklous amount, feel me homey?

If not I'll just buy each piece seperatly, all the way up till next year!

gobyking, No this is not my first buck with a bow, it also wont be my last. I go to school mon- friday, and as soon as i get home im out the door to my stands, or blinds. I also keep records of all my hunts, so I can try to pattern the deer. Also I'm going to start filming my own hunt's with my hunting partner.  Timmy

Timmy, I did the same thing in high school except no records or filming. I miss those days, enjoy them while you can!

Great job to all so far and especially to the JUNIOR HUNTERS! Every buck shot legally is a job well done! That 8 point that wasn't so wide is a GREAT 1 st buck! I've shot alot of bucks and only will shoot a wallhanger NOW BUT I would have loves to have an 8 point for my 1st one! I shot a 3 point with a single shot 12 gauge when I was 13 years old and I still talk about it and still remember like it was yesterday how I felt and how excited I was. I gave up a 30-30 Marlin pump that morning so my Dad could have more than 1 shot and my good old 12 gauge single shot HR did the job. That thing used to kick like a mule but I never felt it while harvesting game. I hope more and more kids get into hunting! This weekend is the junior doe hunt (I'm taking 2 ages 13 and 15 out Friday and Saturday neither one ever harvested a deer. Again Great Job Everyone!

Filming is a lot of work. I do it myself, ill prob do it during the rut. I have two mounts, one for my climber, on for on a tree. Man, carrying all that extra gear and making sure you dont get it wet or drop it is tough. Doing it with a buddy would be better

I don't care if that's your first buck or your 20 th!
It's still a nice one by all means and you should be proud, I would be!
Congrats on your trophy!
I agree Mike, well said!

my buddy with his biggest bow kill to date. awesome southern wv deer.

my buddy's 6'2" and around 200lbs so the deer has a pretty good spread on him too.

Seen the buck in a bachelor group with 2 other bruisers bucks all summer long (can't seem to find any sign of the other 2), so we put a few stands up in the area in a few likely places where we figured they would roam, sure enough 1 finally came thru and my dad got him, 25 yard shot, deer went about 30 an dropped, as for stand positioning on this buck, couldn't be any better, nice location along a travel route pretty much knocking on the door to a bedding area, also buck activity has picked up around the area as in more signs and more sightings of bucks in daylight hours like him, he was takin around 3:45-4:00, i think my area might have a nice early rut this year by the end of the month.
