Braggin Board (pics)

Ok since the stories seem to be scattered all over the board I will start this thread for our success pics...

Got this nice 9 last night in the swamp, he came through about 6:25 and dropped in his tracks as I hit him a bit high, he was with a smaller 8 which has forked brow tines and should make a fine target for my daughter as he is pretty dumb.   He was the 7th buck I had see so far this season ( I have yet to see a doe and have hunted every morning and evening).  Good luck to all and keep the pics coming.

Better too far back, than too far forward.

Here is my hunting partners latest piece of work, put him on the scale tonight, 198 dressed, that is the heaviest I have had on my scale.  Chest tape had him at 191.

Now one for the daughter and its off to WVA!!!  Woo hoo.

I recently learned myself...  Take the IMG codes that you paste in and turn them to lower case.  The photo will automatically attach itself.

sorry for my lack of skill on the computer.. i shot this buck october 1st in ohio .  i live in ashtabula so my season started a little earlier than you guys, i made a really bad shot on this deer! i was really lucky to find him. i hit him in the front shoulder. but i think i got lucky because the arrow blew threw both shoulders. make a long story short gave up on him that night to come back the next mourning looked for 5hrs and finally found him and the coyotes got him before me so i didnt get an ounce of meat out of this deer i was a lil upset. He was a cool deer i hunted this deer last year got trail cam pics of this deer late last year in january and 1 pic of him the day before season started... well we know how it turned out he had holes all in his antlers, you can see the one ate the end of his g3 and he had a bigger one on the other side, so i named him the hole buck

I got a smaller end 8 point last night, the racks nothing massive. But very symmetrical. Bigger body though. My first buck and my first deer ever.
Spitfire Broad heads are no joke. 3 inch entry and exits on a double lung shot.

If I can find my sisters digital camera I'll try and get some pics up.

It's incredible. Unfortunantly he ran down a powerline

This Archery hunting thing may be catching on. So much more rewarding.

I got this 7 point this evening. I had a 15 yard shot and the buck only ran 35 yards and collapsed in sight. I have tons of trail cam pics of this buck. It used to be an 8 point then it broke its main beam. It was then still an 8 point , then sometime on wednesday it broke the main beam down even more, and also the G3 was gone. Nice job everyone who has taken a deer. Also good luck to everyone. Timmy

Entry Wound, Spitfire Mechanical at 25 yards. No they're not 3 inches, more like 1 1/2 inch I was excited when I typed that.

Here's a shot of me, I'm 6'3 220 for size comparison, so yes it's that small, and go pound salt if you don't like it! It was my first deer!

I tried to resize it, sorry if it's too big!

That's a closer shot of the rack, again it's my first deer, I didn't know that I was covering the rack with my hands!

ANY deer with a bow is one to be proud of, bolt.  Way to go!!  You'll remember that one forever!

I bowhunted for 16 years, and only ever killed one deer with my bow - a five point.  I've shot a couple of bigger bucks, but that one by far is the buck I'm most proud of.

Great pictures guys.  Congrats to everybody who scored.

Sold my bow 4 years ago.  With the crisp fall weather yesterday and today and leaves turning colors, I'm kinda wishing I hadn't done that

    Timmy & Deadbolt, congratulations.

Deadbolt, don't ever apologize for any buck.  I have shot a ton of spikes in my day and am everybit as proud of them as of my big boys.

P.S.  I am 6'3" 280 and you should see how small they look next to me....lol

Great job guys keep em coming!

Cograts Deadbolt!  Any deer killed with a bow is a trophy, horns or bald DOES NOT MATTER!!! I remember more of my bow killed deer than my gun harvests.

Thanks a ton guys! I worked my **** off for that deer, and the cost of everything, 2 stands, broadheads, clothes, walkies, and not to mention the time put into this!
And I haven't even bought a bow yet. Now that I look at it, It could be smaller, it's just close friends are Archery-holics. I'm used to seeing the deer they shoot!

This archery hunting is all new to me. I don't know if I'll ever go rifle again, unless its for doe or to help a friend.

Speaking of doe. I haven't seen any this year, excluding 2 that passed me while I was sleeping. And they were pushed to me. That's right, I was sleeping while someone was driving for me!

Anywho, it's really fun, although sitting there can be boring!

Anyone know of any good bows for sale?
I'm looking into buying my own for next year.

And I don't feel like spending 800 bucks for one.

Also, how can I tell my draw length? I can't find it anywhere online?

    Great job everbody:
Musky I think it is the angle of your picture mostly compared to your buddies buck and your size, nice buck.

Timmy, is that your first bow buck? You are ahead of the learning curve for most bowhunters getting one at that age, excluding pros of course

Deadbolt when did you take up archery, this year?? I would stay with the bow you are borrowing now, seems to work pretty good. Or even offer to buy it off your buddy, I'm sure you'll get a fair deal if you like it that much.
    http://www.outdoorscentral.com/artman/publish/article_47.shtml
Try that sight for measurement, you have to take into account if you are using a release which will decrease the draw length. A bow shop will measure you for free if you go in and are looking for a bow, just bring your release.

I hope I can put my picture on here soon..
