I am pretty sure they have some for sale on board but stop at any of the stores along the way and get yourself one just in case.

    Rocky,

They sell a couple of different perch rigs (at a very reasonable price) on the Edward John.
    Hope this helps you!

For $2.oo you can rent a rod already rigged up.  These are on the Edward John.  Just tell them at the booth you need to rent a rod.

You guys dont have to bring any rods with you. Use one they have setup already for $3. I took my 8' rod up with me and got smoked by the guys using the shorter rods. Josh was using one of the boat rods and slamming the perch almost every drop. I may go back next weekend but i'm not taking anything with me but a cooler and lunch. They do sell perch and sabiki rigs for a couple bucks a piece too. Look for the rods with a lot of scales on them.

I was there last Thursday and a lady was using a pocket fisherman in 83 feet of water.
It looks like a toy but she landed 6 nice perch.
Bring some 1oz sinkers or buy them on the boat.
Crappie or perch rigs a good for the excitement of landing a double or triple but not really a must have.
Tie a loop in the line 18" from end the add weight at end.
I used an ocean rig that has wires sticking out that keep the hooks from getting tangled.
Braided line is a big advantage-you can feel every nibble. I use 10lb PowerPro
#6 or 8 twisted or circle hooks work well.
Bring a glove to hold fish when removing hook-fins have spines that can hurt.
Needle nose pliers or hook removal tool helps also

DON'T ASK ME WHY BUT FISH AT THE FRONT OF THE BOAT
