Yeah, I try and shed some extra weight on the ride up at the Edinboro rest stop. I'm not talking about a full lunch here, just some snacks and drinks, sun up till sun down is a long time and if yo do  alot of walking, you'll need the extra energy. People don't eat or drink enough when hiking/fishing etc.. You should eat and drink B4 you are hungry and thirsty. For the extra clothes, I've been wet too many times not to pack them.Plus I'd rather have too much than not enough, been cold on the tribs and wish I'd brought some more gear so I didn't have to hike back to the car. Also I pack a whistle, in case my clumsey butt falls and breaks a leg, I can call for help.
