SR Report 9/9

Stopped by the river this morning and fished from daylight until @10 am.  Fished above the Rt 81 bridge.  Saw about a half dozen fish moving up the first hour or so of daylight, but no takers.  This early though, its good to see any fish that far upstream, so I was encouraged even though I didn't find any players.  It was nice to have a half mile of river all to myself--never saw another fisherman on the section I was fishing.  Wind driven rain off the lake made the fishing tough, but I reasoned that with it being so overcast the fish might be moving later--go figure.  It was good to get out and nice to see the river up from last year (still low).

As I was driving home, I happened to think that 2 years ago the first major run started after a really hard rain in the morning.  When it cleared up around lunchtime, the run started.  Sounds like yesterday.  Maybe something to watch in the future.
