Ice Breaker Boats?

I was sittin here at work readin some of my old log books and saw that a few years back I had my little boat out on Pymatuning on February 27th.  So I started wonderin.  What is the earliest you guys have had your boats out on the big pond?

Better too far back, than too far forward.

I hope to get my boat out on the mighty Niagara a few times each winter, but the last two have been quite crappy with the lack of ice on Erie.  Nice photo of the Lewiston area there Trout.  Gotta love dodging them icebergs!!  In regards to the original Q...My boat is ALWAYS ready to go!

Yea, it's Lewiston.  I'll be heading up on the 22nd for my annual birthday trip.  It's nice to have a best friend that's a captain.

Whos the captain?  I've been out with Frank Campbell a few times...is it him?  I also know a few of the other guides up there...Cinellis, DeLorenzo...just know them from fishing up there, not personally.

No.  Matt Yablonsky.......originally from Elizabeth PA .....took a job in NY in 2000.  He's relatively new to the charter scene......been fishing the river for 7 years, but only been guiding for 2.  He's still trying to build up a client list.  He gets some overflow from the other guides when they need another boat.  I don't want to post a pic of his boat, since he's not a board sponsor.

If you get a chance, PM me his number and info because I have some friends who charter guides up there.  I'd be glad to shoot some business his way.  Especially since he is just starting out.  Take care.
