never seen this early

has anyone seen gobblers in strut this early in the year? last friday on my way home from work i see the usually flock in a field and there was a gobbler going in and out of strut.. I am wondering if the weather changing like it has been has something to do with it.. the gobbler wouldnt hod a strut but it went into one for a few seconds and then did like a half strut for a bit and then do it all over again. Just wondering if anyone has ever seen this..

I tal;ed to a man on Sunday(3rd) and he told me he saw a bird fully fanned out that morning. Who knows - maybe just stretching or drying out feathers.

I've seen robins almost weekly all through the winter. There were about 20 in the trees and bushes around my house yesterday. This is almost a yearly event anymore.

A couple years back,(in February), I saw a flock on the neighbors property.  I snuck down to a nearby woodlot and clucked on the call.  Sure enough, the toms fanned out and began strutting.  This went on until the old hen slowly lead the flock away.  At the time I thought it was odd behavior for February.  But, I just put it down to not knowing much about turkies.

Had a flock of about 60-70 birds (lost count at 47) fly down around me in muzzleloader season, some of the boss gobblers were fanned out and gobbling while the hens were landing around them. It was 22* on that morning.
