Salmon River

The Lower Fly Section will Open on Friday, October 21st. The river is flowing at 185 cfs as of 10/20. There are still plenty of Chinook and coho salmon to be found in the river, with fish spread out from top to bottom. A few steelhead are also starting to show up in the lower river. The Chinook egg collection is now done at the hatchery, so hatchery workers will now be starting the coho egg take. Egg collection takes place on weekdays only, and from around 9:30 AM to about Noon. Pacific Salmon Fishing in Lake Ontario Tributaries.

This was on the DEC Website this AM.  The river is already over 1000 cfs, with only 335 of it at the dam.

Well, the north branch currently has 7000 cfs flowing in redfield... that's not counting other inlets and area run offs... this could be bad... very bad

Yes,  I'm already re-evaluating plans for next week, so sense travelling to hit little ditches we got lots of them around home, and the river is likely to blow out completely once the pond gets filled up.
