Commin Up Sat...

Ive  been watching the weather and following the flow, and it looks like sat I'm gonna do a Kamakizie Run...? leave early sat morn around 3am, fish all day and if I'm feeling up to it leave Sat Eve....if not I'll just stay over.
 
Anyone been out and about? not seeing to many reports posted? and of course if I go by the Whitakers Conspiracy Report.. it's always good fishing..(shoulda been here yesterday!)..So who's been out and hows the fishing been???   stream slushy?  banks icey???  hate to do all that driving for naught!   thanks guys

    Whitakers site is correct--fish top to bottom--crowds up top.Did some nice dammage on Wed in only a couple of hrs.

    Steel on a pin---so easy a caveman can do it.

    Slayer rub it in. Looks like I will be out the 7 and 8 of Feb. They happen to be a Frid & Sat, if your lucky maybe I can stay and fish that Sund morning with you.

    I won't be up. I hate when snow stacks up on my felt. This winter fishing is going to make me spend more $. 
    Welcome aboard Champ.. I suspect I know you from somewhere else? Anyone who's cool with Slayer is fine by me.

    Champy--can rarely get out Sun's anymore---2 boys in hockey usually= a game and 2 practices

    I 2nd the slayer report. Hit some fish mid river on saturday. If you feel like trecking through the snow, u can find some good spots and no crowds.

    Slayer - thats cool, maybe they will be good enough to make the NHL and you can fish everyday. Might be able to get out again towards the end of Feb to. Will let u know.

    Be aware that Upstate NY is in the throes of a serious winter storm.  Over here in Rochester, we are seeing the beginnings of what could be a serious build up of ice on trees and surfaces that could result in some major problems, and the SR area was forecast to get even worse. I'd check the NWS for Pulaski or call ahead before driving to this area this weekend.

    Native New Yorker here, I can see Whitface MT. from my front yard so that is just typical winter weather for N.Y. Just takes longer to get from point a to b.

    For those coming up or heading for the tribs just allow some extra travel time and space between u and the car in front of u.

    Had a small ice storm down here in PA, but nothing major. I didn't lose my internet connection or anything.

    While it isn't bad now although still wet ands slick on all but the most major roads, it was extremely nasty when I posted, and could have gotten a lot worse if it had kept up.For a "banzai trip" , ice storms don't cut it.

    Only 12-18 on the ground--was only sinking in maybe 8"---fished an hour and 1/2 and went 2/3 with 1 other miss---seamed to like peach today.

    Sounds good. Peach is a good color by me. At least you got some fishing in.
    Any big fish around yet? Still dreaming of a road trip in the next month if I can get the house healthy & work off my****for missing time. They don't like call outs too much. Don't want you to show up and vomit all over the place either.
    I'm still sick. The whole house has turned into a revolving door for viruses since my twins started Kindergarden.

    I've haven't hooked a monster yet--but all were nice solid fish and fought like fall/spring fish.

    Not sure about making it up now, we are getting pumeled with snow right now. Snowing about 2 inches an hour. Starting to look like a dig out session.

    PS here by the way we have gotten more icing than when the weather guys made a big deal about an ice storm.

    It's not the driving out in it that's stopping me - I have a 4 wheel drive truck. It's the pain in my back from shoveling. I went all to shet when I turned 21 LOL! My back is a slight bit stiff this morning. Don't think it would be a smart idea to try and wade in 2200 with a stiff back. Oh the shame - LOL
