Rod Components

Hey guys,

I'm going to build a 10' 6wt.  I've found the blank I want and the color.  My question is the components....more specifically the fighting butt.  I've been looking at the kits they sell for the components and have noticed that although it is a 10' rod, they don't sell a fighting butt in the kit for a 6 wt.  They do, of course, for rods 7wt and up.  Is it something that I simply order additional or can I use the components for a 7wt on a 6wt blank??

Any help is appreciated....

Maybe I will pass down old faithful to you if you can handle her.  You don't want the first one, lol.  I guarantee it will have a few f#@$ ups along the way.

You can also just glue the seat with a bit of blank exposed and turn your own.
