Night shift burbot

I've been working nights and since I'm used to it, I plan on trying night fishing for these lobsters. couple ?'s for the old salts, how safe is the south pier at night. I live in southern erie and have heard the stories. rough crowd down on the bayfront. and another ?, does Poor richards smoke burbot? would it even taste good?

    I lived on the bayfront many years ago, and it's changed considerably.
    I wouldn't fish at night on the South Pier by myself. Hook up with
    Presquislanglr.

    from what ive been reading up on these creatures, they are best broiled with butter...poor richards only smokes salmon and steelhead as far as i know anyway..

    South pier at night is very dangerous...
    You have about a 50% chance of getting shot there on any given night...
