12/02/07

I made the last minute decision to head up this morning, despite the supposed bad weather reports. I-79 was clear sailing the whole way up and back. Anyway, I stopped at Lake Erie Ultimate Angler to pick up a few flies and headed to the Legion on Elk where the lot was near empty, maybe three cars. It was a pretty good day on the water today, temperatures in the 40's, landed some fish, lost some fish and saw exactly six other anglers all day. Can't ask for much more than that.

Most fish were holding in the deeper pools, water was definetely down from last weekend and was getting on the clear side.





Now it's Football time, here we go Steelers here we go!

    A few more from today...







    I stripped streamers briefly, had some follows and one smaller fish hooked and landed. So fun watching em' chase those down and stab at them. Other than that, green crystal meth was my most productive fly today.

    For those that fished today, how were the crowds elsewhere?

    Glad you we're catching fish, nice fish and pics, maybe me next Sunday/weekend.

    was above you in the upper hole all by myself and only saw about 6 others all day. was the first to make tracks in the lot. did extremely well, only lost one fish all day and landed many. my second spot same story many fish didn't see anyone till I was leaving.   Thank you weatherman...Dave

    Those days are great.  I have had those, and thought, 'Is something happening that I don't know about, why is no one here?'  I'm sure now that the weather is getting worse, there will be more room to be had.
