going down the road

last wednesday my wife said "what would you like to do for your birthday?"  it took me about 2 minutes to decide i wanted to go see some family on the eastern shore, and just all around raise some hell.  it was just a short trip that started at 2 pm saturday when i got off work and hopped into the car and we were off.

it was also the first time that i crossed the bay bridge at the right time

we arrived there about 8 and i was shown a cooler full of md goodness.


then we went and saw a mason dixon monument before the beers started flowing too heavily.

we woke the next day in the late morning.  i took my fly rod but there was no time for that.  we had 1 creature on out mind that we wanted to catch.


we ended with about 1/2 a buschel

my wife even wanted to hold 'em by the end of the day

she really liked the ones with no claws

and what do you know i even caught a hardhead in a crab trap.  actually i got 2 of them.


and our rewards for our labor



but i know this is a fishing site.monday morning i woke up early to see if i could go out and see this before work.

and here are the culprits that took me way past my fly line.

hey hope you have a great time dt.  you ever try the Red Roost?  it's a pretty cool crab joint.  i haven't been there in like 7 or so years though
